Who remembers all the crazy stories we have grown up listening to? Who would have thought that George of the Jungle or Mowgli the helpless lost boy could be real? Well, these following 10 feral kids definitely found themselves living a life that wasn’t normal by any stretch of the imagination. Yes, these kids ended up living in a feral life, at least for a little while, before they found their way back to the society, something that never happened to Mowgli, unfortunately. Their stories are so crazy at times that you may actually doubt they ever existed at all, but they did.

9. Traian Caldarar
This little child lived in Transylvania and he went through a pretty amazing adventure. At the age of 4, the Romanian boy ran away from home and fled into the nearby forest for the next THREE years. He lived mostly on his own. Experts say mostly because they are pretty sure that wild dogs living in the forest played some role in aiding Traian. Yes! When he came back to the society at the age of 7, he tended to growl when he was around food.
8. Peter the Wild Boy
Long before the internet, only known as Peter, the young guy was reported in 1725 roaming around the forest of northern Germany. Estimated around the age of 12, he was captured, to be sent back to England. With no manners, the king tutored and civilized him.
7. Oxana Malaya
When she was just 3 years old, Oxana was abandoned. Dogs were the closest living thing around and they discovered her. Only 5 years later, neighbors found the malnourished girl living with dogs. Moving on her fours legs, growling and barking at anyone who came near.
6. Feral Boy of Borneo
In the Malaysian island of Borneo, a dozen reports came to the authorities concerning sightings at a small boy living in the jungle, but they could never find him. In 2014, they found a boy around 4 to 7 years-old. When trying to rescue him, the primates surrounding him were angry. Apparently, a orangutang can take the human as a family.
5. Shaun Ellis
It seems like the situation only affects kids, but what happens when those kids grow up? Shaun Ellis is a grown man who used to be a feral kid. He spends most of his time eating and playing with a pack of wolves, getting down on all fours. He even simulates fighting over food!
4. Madina
Living at home, she had nobody to take care of her. When her parents were totally drunk, she would play with the dogs and sleep with them to survive the cold. When social workers came to take her away, she was all naked walking on all fours like a dog.
3. Memmie Le Blanc
This feral girl from France became famous in 1731. She approached a village but was always too afraid and ran away to hide in a tree after several attempts. The locals adopted her even though she had weird manners like sleeping on the floor, climbing the trees and hated cleaning up.
2. NG Chhaidy
When she was just 4 years-old, she was separated from her family and ended up lost in the jungle of Myanmar for over 30 years. It’s a local who saw the resemblance in between a man and the lost woman who sometimes came in the village. Her father was able to recognize her birthmark.
1. Chilean Dog Boy
Know only has a dog boy, this little 5 years-old guy was thrown out of his home by abusive parents. Like his name can tell you, he joined a group of dogs to survive.
