The household is an integral part of our life. Few people like to live in a messy house, even though some people may as a matter of fact tolerate it. It is proven that a clean environment affects directly our mental health. That’s why some people like to do the cleaning since it releases your mind from overthinking sometimes.
However, if most people hate cleaning, others are constantly looking for cleaning tricks to make their home even more flawless.
Here are 5 very useful cleaning tips for all the neat freaks.
1. Unclog your toilet.
So having a clogged toilet is kind of bad news. And, it has the tendency to happen when you don’t have what you need to unclog it. Here’s a nice tip. I’ve tried it once and it did work very well. Just follow these simple steps, repeat if needed.
- Cover your bowl with 2-3 coats of plastic wrap.
- Flush the toilet.
- Your layers of plastic will swell. Push on these with your hands.
- Remove the plastic.
Clean a baking pan.
Yeah, I am king of having an OCD with clean pans. Who cares if it’s stained, one might think. Well, I do care. It’s just bigger than me, I have to have clean pans. Anyway, I found several tips to clean a pan, but I admit this has to be my favorite. It requires arm efforts, but it does work wonders!
- Sprinkle baking soda on your pan.
- With a spray bottle, spray with vinegar.
- Leave it for 5 minutes.
- Rub with a brush.
- Wipe the dirt with a sponge.
Wash your floor while walking.
That one I did once. It did work, but my husband got such a laugh looking at me, I decided to keep that one for when he’s away. Which never happens. Anywho, this is very easy to do, just make sure you rince your microfiber sponge frequently, as you do not want dirt to be spread across the floors.
- 2 Microfiber Sponges
- Cut into the shape of your favorite slippers.
- Install velcro under your slippers and wipes.
Clean the marks on your walls.
I have white wall all around the house. It marks every time something slides on it. I used to rub it with a magic eraser, but I find this tip to be more efficient. Rub a tennis ball onto the wall to remove stains from whatever item.
2. Unclog a drain.
No need for toxic products anymore. That one works wonder! You’ve probably even tested it before. It’s on this list because it’s been proven to unclog drains every time. We’re not talking about tenacious clogs… but it’s very efficient when you notice the water’s not getting through the drain as quickly as it did last week.
- Add baking soda.
- Pour vinegar.
- Add boiled water.
