Sushi rolls are what most people crave for. Food-wise, it must be one of the most popular things from our decade. Of course, any person looking for a great value for money restaurants will end at an all you can eat sushi buffet. But what if you could make your own sushi buffet at home? We bet your friends would be ready to pay for it!
5. Step 1
A good chef will always start by gathering all he needs around. Once you have sushi rice, a sushi rolling mat, one sheet of nori (seaweed) and your favorite sushi filling such as avocado, cucumber, imitation grab, carrot and salmon. You’ll be ready to start.
This one is pretty easy! Place the nori shiny side down on the rolling mat.
4. Step 2
Add a thin layer of sushi rice should be about 1/4 thick on top evenly. Make sure not to press too hard down. Leave an empty stripe on the edge that’s about 1/2 inch, vertically on both sides.

Now, it’s time to fill your roll with all toping you want. If you can’t make up your mind on what to add. We suggest making a quick research on the web and you will find many recipes to inspire you.
TIP: Wet edges uncovered nori so it will be easier to seal the roll.
2. Step 4
It’s time to start rolling. Roll away from you, making sure to continuously apply pressure on all side to make it tight. Use your fingers to push in the roll ingredients towards the center. Press your fingers against the roll and squeeze tightly. Pick up the edge of the mat and continue squeezing your fingers to press under the ingredients. Keep rolling until the nori sheet is rolled all the way up.

You are almost done. Wet the tip of your knife with water and cut in halves until the desired size is reached and enjoy!
