We use several objects daily. It is rare, however, that we know where the objects we use come from and why they were designed in such or such a way. 10. Pen caps
The holes in the caps are added to prevent asphyxiation. Indeed, adults and children tend to put the cap in their mouth which is quite harmful.
9. Traffic lights
The lights were originally used for railways. The red color meant “danger”, the green color meant “caution” and the white light meant “go ahead”. Unfortunately, whenever the system broke, the driver only saw the white light. After several major accidents, the color system was changed to red, yellow and green.
8. Tic-tac box’s lid
If you look at the lid of your container, you will notice a small oval. This is a tic-tac dispenser. This allows you to have one at a time when you put your container in the right angle.

These lumps called a ferrite bead. Its purpose is to help eliminate electromagnetic interference from other electronic devices.

Each computer keyboard has one or two raised buttons. This is useful for positioning your hands without having to look at your keys while typing on the computer.
