Of course, buying fruits and vegetables can sometimes cost a small fortune. It is therefore advantageous to grow them at home. Here are 15 fruits and vegetables that you can grow from leftover foods. 

1. Avocado

If you’ve eaten an avocado, don’t throw away the pit:

  • Wash it;
  • Prick it with several toothpicks and soak the lower part of it in water;
  • Wait 2 weeks, you should see roots appear;
  • Plant your pit in a pot filled with soil and water it frequently.

Here’s how to grow mango in your home:

  • Take its pit and place it in a damp cotton pad. Make sure the cotton is constantly humid.
  • Place the pit in a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap.
  • Once the root of the pit is growing and well visible, you can put it in the ground by leaving 2 cm of ground above it.
  • Place your plant in the sun and keep the soil moist.

  • Fill a pot with soil and plant a peach pit in it.

  • Take the pineapple crown (the upper part of the fruit) and remove all the leaves at the bottom;
  • Place the crown in a glass of water;
