These recreated childhood photos prove that things don’t change

Every superhero needs a sidekick, right? That’s exactly what these brothers’ parents thought when they dressed both their boys as Superman for Halloween at the time. But judging by their looks, they weren’t very excited.

One of the best things about adults recreating their childhood photos is the noticeable difference in their sizes. Whether they try to slip into a child’s outfit that’s too small or to sit on Dad’s bike handlebars like they did when they were only three years old, it’s certainly not the same thing as before, but it gives a hilarious result. Maybe some childhood photos shouldn’t be recreated… like this one. But here it is, it exists and, honestly, it’s just hilarious! The original photo is one of the most epic photos we have ever seen. Honestly, we hope that these four muddy brothers stayed close throughout childhood and into adulthood, that this picture was taken by chance and that it has a sweet similarity to the original.

The picture on the left shows a proud father with his three boys, all dressed in their Sunday clothes. It’s such a great picture that it’s not surprising that they wanted to recreate it.

Irina Werning is an international photographer known for her series of”Back to the Future” photographs where she helps adults recreate their favourite childhood photos. Not only does Werning photograph the photos herself, but she also buys accessories and locations and even makes all the costumes herself!

Ah, the family vacation photo. Something that no one wants to share (especially children) with others, but that you have to do for Mom’s sake! Honestly, these two photos are impressive in their own way. The fact that Mom and Dad managed to immobilize their three young boys for five seconds and take a picture is impressive in itself. This is even more impressive when you know that no one picked their nose, closed their eyes or cried in a corner. With such a victory, it is not surprising that this is one of the favourite photos of the mother of her children. It really deserved to be recreated!

Who didn’t like this game as a child? Spending hours begging mom and dad to fly was certainly a big part of everyone’s childhood. This mother has impressive piloting skills as she was able to lift both her children at the same time. Given the bravery (and leg muscles) it requires, we think she should receive an award. The fact that she was ready to do it again once her children have grown up makes us even closer to her.

How many of you have a picture of yourself when you were little and you showed your “muscles”? Most kids think they are strong and we love to make them believe that, especially because it produces adorable pictures like the one on the left. We must give credit to this guy for having the confidence to recreate a picture with such a small swimsuit 20 years later.

It is a beautiful memory that these brothers and sisters can cherish. It inspires us to take out our cameras and take some pictures with our siblings. We love the fact that they were able to recreate their childhood photo in early adulthood and even in old age.

Photos like this prove that some brothers and sisters have remained close all their lives. Let us take the example of these brothers, for example, who are all a few years apart and, of course, still very close after all these years. They may have gone to university, gotten married, had their own families and grew big beards, but at the end of the day, brotherhood is an indissoluble bond.
