Wife reads out husband’s affair texts instead of vows at wedding

Casey couldn’t wait for her big day. She was finally getting ready with her closest friends for the bridal party at a posh hotel room when her life took a sad unexpected turn. Almost unbelievable as the discovery itself was the way she learned the news.

Casey was madly in love with Alex since the day they had met and truly believed he was the one. After 6 years together, they finally decided to tie the knot. She was ready to have the best day of her life and happy to share it with all the attendees.

Casey was sipping champagne and enjoying her bridal party when her phone buzzed with yet another message. It had been going off all night with people wishing her well and good luck for the next day. Little did they know that the messages she was about to receive will change her whole life.

The next message made her brake down into tears. The messages from an unknown number revealed screenshots from an exchange between her fiancé Alex and another woman. The photos revealed that Alex had not been honest. Worst, that he had been seeing someone else for quite some time. The intimate relationship was even proven with selfies. The last message read: “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”

Casey had to make the hardest decision. Her friends suggested that she should call him immediately and call off the wedding. But she decided otherwise. All the guests had already travelled to the venue and things were paid for. So she decided to go on with the wedding as planned… Apart from a few changes.

Although Casey was still going to attend the wedding, she was determined to get revenge. She was ready to say out loud what he couldn’t have said to her for months. She got ready for the ceremony, but everything felt completely fake.

The ceremony finally started. Casey walked down the aisle with the heaviest of hearts, her dress now, as she puts it, just a costume. She certainly did not look ecstatic, but no one saw coming what was about to go down. Her true love was just a lie, what was supposed to be the best day of her life turned out to be the worst, yet she did her best to act as if nothing had happened.

As she stood in front of her family and friends smiling in joy, her hands were shaking and her insides shuddering. She then took a deep breath before saying: “There will be no wedding today. It seems Alex is not who I thought he was.” she then reached for her phone and began to read the messages she had received the night before.

Many of them Casey were sexually explicit exchanges between Alex and his side woman. She even read ones saying: “Your body is f****** incredible. And s*** do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do” and “I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, F’ing you. I’ve never had this kind of connection before.” Hoping that he would feel as humiliated as she felt the night before.

Alex ran out of the church with some of his relatives who seemed deeply shocked. But Casey had something more to say. She couldn’t leave all the guests sitting in shock not knowing how to react. Surprised by her bravery, they listened to what she had to say.

She decided to turn this horrible situation into a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart. Despite her heart being broken to pieces, she wanted all the guests to stay and enjoy the reception although there would be no ceremony.
