We live in a world that doesn’t offer our personal prized possessions and security of always being safe. The good news is you can take matters into your own hands with a little innovation. That best satisfaction will be gained from personal achievement. No one can be protected better than by itself.

In order to help you build that safety protection, we gathered 5 best hidden hacks that will fool even the smartest burglar.

5. DIY Hide-a-Key

Little Things

There are some fake rocks that can be used to hide a key. Burglars know all about it! Instead of buying something that’s not such a great hiding item, we recommend making one! Grab an empty medication’s container and glue its cap to a rock. Insert the key in it, and burry the container in the soil. Not only is it completely burglar proof, it is probably one of the safest ways to hide your all your spare keys!

4. Hidden outlet safe

Hide some small important objects in the most unsuspected places. There are many items available on the internet, but there are also some sneaky ways to use what’s already in your home and turning it into a hidden chest. The book shown below is a great example. Just create a hole inside the pages of the book, and hide money, jewelry, keys, whatever priced possessions you have!

3. Sneaky Keyboard

Almost every house has one that’s unused. That old keyboard that still looks great, but it’s just not useful anymore… Or maybe it could! The rise in popularity of laptops has made standard keyboards almost obsolete. So, why not turn it into a spooky space for a larger storage space. This example shoe standard storage, but that might also be a great place to hide something of value. Just make sure no one sends it to good will!

2. Keys on a wire

This one is clever. A burglar would never have enough time to try over 30 keys. This crafty project is like a three-chic chandelier. Just hide the right key in the group, and you’ll have a nice object hiding the key to your home! Well, that might sound dangerous, so maybe hide your neighbours’ key on it, and make one for them that hides your key! That way, both of you will have access to a spare key. Genius!

1. DIY Door top stash

DIY & Crafts

That one I LOVE. I did it at home and it’s perfect. You can hide small belongings inside your door. You need the ability to hollow out a hole on the top edge. Once you make the hole, use a mental container to keep your valuables in and slide it in the hole. Make sure it doesn’t get stuck with temperature variations, or that you don’t plan on having something to grab it!
