Butter is an ingredient that is commonly used while cooking. It is not surprising that we get dirty with this product from time to time. Even if, at first glance, it does not seem like a disaster, removing this stain of this grease food on our clothes can be very difficult. There are luckily simple and effective tips that can help us get rid of our butter stain. Here are 10 cleaning tips to know and share with all food lovers.
10. Cold Water
One of the first things you should do when you notice that your laundry is stained with butter is to put it under cold water. Normally, it helps to make it disappear fast as possible.
9. Dentifrice
You can remove your butter stain with toothpaste. Simply rub the stained area and scrub the fabric with water until foamy.
8. Baby Powder
Sprinkle baby powder on your stain to soak the oil from the fabric. Take a toothbrush that you no longer use (or the equivalent) and scrub the stain. Then wash your clothes in the washer.
7. Marseille Soap
Another way to get around a butter stain is Marseille soap. All you have to do is rub the stained area with this great soap, wait a few minutes and wash your clothes as you normally would do. You can also use black soap.
6. Iron and Paper Towel
Lay a paper towel over your stain and iron your piece of clothe with the towel in between. Your iron must be really hot to get a good result.
5. Cleaning Wipe
Remember the cleaning wipes you get at the restaurant? Better keep them, as they are very useful for removing butter stains. When your laundry is stained, rub it gently with one of these towels and let it air dry.
4. Benzine or Ammonia
Take benzine or ammonia and apply it to the stained fabric. Rub it with the product of your choice, then sprinkle talcum powder or “Terre de Sommières” soil on it before washing it in the washer machine.
3. Lemon juice
Mix the juice of 3 lemons (about 100 ml) with 400 ml of water and soak the stained piece of clothe in this solution for a few hours. Then wash it in your washer.
2. Vegetable Glycerin
Put undiluted vegetable glycerin on the stain and wait 15 minutes. Remove the glycerin by scraping with a piece of utensil, then gently rub the fabric with moist Marseille soap. Then, put the garment on the washing machine.
1. Dish Soap
Put a small amount of dish soap on your butter stain and then place your garment in the washing machine.
